_________________________________________________________ Favor Minded Ministries is a non-denominational Christian organization dedicated to teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Founded on a desire to help blended families grow stronger in their relationships with each other and with the Lord, we believe in the foundation of Christ centered family life and teaching. By keeping God first, family relationships are strengthened. We believe our spouses, our children, and everything in our lives are gifts from God. God's Word tells us we are to train a child up in the way they should go so that when they are old they will not depart from it. As part of our mission we are obligated to teach biblical truths and in doing so we encourage personal growth through continued study of God's word, through community and world outreach, by "locking in" to a good, word based church in your community and supporting them. In this way we know that people from all walks of life can come to know the joy of the Lord through serving in his name, and thereby setting the example for themselves, their family and their friends. God, creator of ALL things, whose love and AWESOME power surpasses all human understanding is eternal, omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent, and is in control of our lives if we let him. God is the Holy Trinity - the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. Being three distinct and separate persons, yet are one and the same, and the one and ONLY true God. Jesus Christ is the The Son of God - The promised Messiah as foretold by the prophets and as written by his apostles in the Word of God. Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary, was crucified, died, and was buried in a tomb for the sins of all mankind. On the third day he was resurrected. After appearing to many and to his apostles, he ascended to heaven. He WILL return at the appointed time to establish his Kingdom. We recognize the Fullness of the deity of Jesus being both man and God. We know that EVERY KNEE will bow upon his return to reign and pray that the souls of man be saved and will come to know Christ as their Lord and Savior, that they saved and that they may be spared from the coming tribulation. That they come to know the joy that is Jesus Christ living in us. We give Jesus Christ ALL the glory, and honor. The Holy Spirit is our Comforter as promised by Jesus Christ, who does indeed lives inside of us, guiding us in all truth, and is the only path to our salvation. We believe in the fullness of gifts of the Holy Spirit, and Power of the Holy Spirit. Gifts of the Spirit such as speaking in tongues are available to anyone who asks and believes. The Bible IS the ONLY inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God containing his plan of salvation for mankind and is the foundation of knowledge and the final authority of faith, life, truth, and happiness. Salvation is the deliverance from the bondage of sin, our atonement to God with the assurance of eternal life. God gave his only begotten son as a sacrifice for us. He who had NO sin, BECAME sin for us, so that through the shedding of his blood, we may experience eternal life. Grace is the free, unmerited gift of eternal life, which God gives to those who have a change of heart and start a new life in Christ. Through faith in Christ we are always under the umbrella of grace. Christians are people acting in faith who accept only Jesus Christ as their Savior and in whom the Holy Spirit lives inside creating a new birth. This new birth lives a different life by following the footsteps of Christ and shows Christian fruits of the Holy Spirit as evidence. We believe all Christians have varying callings from God, and are given spiritual gifts to fulfill their callings. Baptism by Water - Baptism is an outward expression and testimony of our life-surrender to the Lord Jesus Christ; being symbolic of Jesus' death, burial and resurrection. It is a symbol of the cleansing power of the blood of Christ and a testimony to our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We minister to people. We pray for the sick, comfort the hurting and sorrowful, encourage the weak and weary, and reach out in love to those who need a friend. We minister the Word of God. The proclamation of the Gospel comes after individuals have opened their hearts to God and turned from themselves to others. Only then are they truly ready to hear and benefit fully from the Word of the Lord.
Lift
up your hands in the sanctuary and praise the LORD (Psalm 134:2). The Power of Praying Together When
they heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to God.
"Sovereign Lord," they said, "you made the heaven and the
earth and the sea, and everything in them"(Acts 4:24). Is any
one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over
him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer
offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him
up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven (James 5:14-15). The Baptism in the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it, provides power to live a sanctified and holy life and to be effective in service to God. For if
I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful. So what
shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my
mind; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my mind (1
Corinthians 14:14,15). |
